Wow. Spoke to a CSR at 5pm last night to update from standard mag strip to EMV. Card was delivered 15 minutes ago. Now that is service.

Cool! EMV is also availiable for BCP?
I would guess that if they have it for BCE they also do for BCP, although I cannot confirm.
got an EMV for BCP last week.
I don't call up Amex very often (or any lender, to be honest), but they've been courteous and swift every time I've called in. Even the foreign reps, amazingly.

I think it's available for most of their cards. In fact, I remember seeing a PDF or a website with an exact list... Let me see if I can summon it with my Google-Fu.
Just requested it via chat. Thanks I didn't know that this card came EMV.
Am I correct in presuming the upgraded amex just adds the EMV and still has the mag strip for places that don't have emv enabled yet?

Yes you are correct

Overnighting cards isn't exclusive to AmEx.

It is and they've been rolling out EMV on more of their cards. I recently got EMV on my TE.

Can I use my new chip & signature Card in the U.S.?
Yes. Your Card still has a magnetic stripe. This means you can use your chip- enabled Card in the U.S. as you always have. The chip does not change any of the other features or benefits of your Card.
