AMEX discontinuing Billpay in January 2012?

I received an email for each of my AMEX accounts today stating that they will no longer have the Billpay feature as of January 31, 2012.  Has anyone else received this message?  It mentioned that I could still use my AMEX cards to pay bills, but it would have to be strictly through each particular vendor.

Re: AMEX discontinuing Billpay in January 2012?

It means you can't pay non-Amex bills via AMEX website anymore, meaning you lose centralization of bill payments. However, you can still go to say Comcast's website and pay the bill with your AMEX, just not through AMEX anymore. You can still pay your AMEX bills online, however. THat's how I interpreted it.
