AMEX hasn't reported after 4 statements

Hey all,

I got an Amex BCE back in October and it still hasn't reported. I've run money through it on each statement and my 4th statement just cut. Still nothing according to Experian. I haven't checked my other CRs though. Any idea? Should I call Amex and ask them to report it?

I'd check the other CRs and see if it's reporting.  You could even sign up for CK and Quizzle, if you want to see general info for TU and EQ, and don't want to purchase reports.   But you should certianly call AMEX for EX.

depends on your profile.

do you need to to report? if it will help with your utilization or credit history, then yea call them and have them report to the CRAs.

If you don't need it to boost your scores or lower your utilization, then I would leave it as it is. It's always nice to have a hidden tradeline so you don't have to constantly worry about maxing out the card.

FWIW, my wife's BCP was approved on Oct 4. The fourth statement was cut on Jan 25. Today, the card is showed up on both Transunion and Equifax but not on Experian.

Re: AMEX hasn't reported after 4 statements

For what it's worth, my BCP that I applied and was approved for on 12/29, received a week later and had my first statement at the beginning of this past week just posted to my account in the past 48 hours. Which is what I would normally expect.

Re: AMEX hasn't reported after 4 statements

I got the BCE on Oct 28. It finally reported yesterday  to all the CRAs, 10 days after my 3rd statement cut.  I had been PIF prior to the statement cutting but for the Jan. statement I left a small balance on it. I wonder if that's why it started to reported.

No. My wife have let a small balance reported every month after she was approved in early October and no report for four months too.

Re: AMEX hasn't reported after 4 statements

It appears Octobers approvals had a delay in reporting.  My BCP and HH both approved in late Dec, reported last week.
