AMEX soft pull?

Here is the problem I've had with Amex and this method.  It's nice that its only a SP, but generally they aren't accurate as of your current credit report.  I just applied for the BCE with a 745 EXP and 0% utilization, and 3 INQ and was denied for balances on card too high, too man INQ's, high internal risk(I assume this is from a CO I had back in 2004).  Nevertheless, they are using a SP from atleast 3 months ago when those factors were true.  You can call for a recon and they will do a HP though

WOW! I am really surprise that you got denied with all that. May I ask if you did a recon afterward?

Unfortunately, for me my experience was a little different. I have both a Green & a Zync card and I am an AU on my wife's BCE. But it cost me a HP when I apped for my own BCE last week.
