Re: AMEX victory

Used to have several AX Cards before the BK7 2001. They took all of them. I have never tried to obtain any cards from them since. Does anyone have a sense on how they would view a BK that has disappeared from everywhere but I am sure AX still remembers! They were stuck for lots of money on the BK. Citi, Chase and Discover all let me back in with very decent CL's and cards?

If you owe AMEX money forget about it..like a scorned lover they have a long memory and carry a heckova grudge... You'll have to pay them back any money you owe before they will even think about taking you back...

Re: AMEX victory

Smiley Happy Congrats!!! Amex must be in a good mood because I was also approved yesterday.  I applied online Thursday and received the processing message, waited 24 hours and had to call.  He asked me a few questions and gave me a 1000 limit.  The card is on the way, I even asked for free 2 day delivery because I am super excited.  The card is Gold Delta Sky Miles, based on the information here, everyone said it was the easiest to get thats why I apped.  I do not fly Delta.  How long do I have to wait for a PC. LOL Thanks to all the people who have helped me during the last year!!! I appreciated it.  I need to remove my spade. Smiley Happy

Hi all, I haven't been on here in a long time but I had to share...

I felt like being slapped by AMEX again (I do this about once a year) so I app'd for the BCE, even though I have about 75% util between all my cards (I know, BAD BAD me, but hey I'm a poor state employee who hasn't had a raise in 5 years and the cost of living keeps going up).  My most recent TU from Walmart is 625; I haven't been brave enough to check EQ recently.

Someone at AMEX must be insane!  That's the only way I can explain my approval.  I'm extending my excitement by waiting for the mailman to bring me my credit limit.

To add to my credit happiness, my 18 year old started working and went to JC Penny to get some more dress shirts.  At the register he was asked if he wanted to apply for a JCP card and get 10% off his bill (or whatever the nonsense is).  He ignorantly thought it was a discount card, like you get from the grocery store, so he said sure.  He was approved!  So he now has his first credit card.  He's scared to use it though.  I gave him all the right advice, so hopefully he'll do what I say, not what I do!

Congrats!
