I got approved for their Platinum Cash Rewards - a.k.a. "gas card".

They give 5% back on gas purchases. Smiley Happy

An offer was put in on my behalf for 7K by the representive over the phone walking me

Congrats! You'll smile at the gas pump.

I love my card. I even time when I gas up at the end of the month so that it's not when my card is in limbo (waiting for the payment to post.)

We're not $3/ gallon here at the moment, but we have been, and it was good to think that with the card, it was really $2.85.

Congratulations. I haven't applied for a card in over 5 years but I'm being tempted more and more by PenFed.

Congratulations and welcome to the club.  I like my PenFed card.  Hopefully, after this month, they won't hold my payments any more.  It's been seven months now.

No but thanks. I've visited their site several times. Even if I decide to apply it won't be for awhile. I just took out a small auto loan for my son so I want to wait and let the dust settle over that. Perhaps early next year I will decide.
