Re: APPS, Inq, New Accounts, and Scores... for what it's worth

Just so you'll know the TU fico score through the Walmart card is not the same on myfico uses! My Walmart score is 35 points less than the myfico one! Good luck!

Starting Score: TU 640, EQ 636, EX 645
Current Score: TU 665, EQ 706, EX ?
Goal Score: All above 700

From what we've been able to find out, it looks like the TU score from Walmart is the FICO TU08.

Yes, it's a FICO score, but no, it won't match the TU FICO score that you pull here, or the score that a mortgage lender might pull (probably a TU2004.)

It's exasperating, but true. There are lots of FICO score formulas, each tweaked for specific situations, and yes, they're all "real", and no, they don't match well from one to another.

And NONE of them reliably match/ translate to a FAKO score. Every now and again someone posts a match between a FICO and a FAKO, but I'm afraid that falls under the category of "Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then." In other words, pure randomness.

FICO's: EQ 781 - TU 793 - EX 779 (from PSECU) - Done credit hunting; having fun with credit gardening. - EQ 590 on 5/14/2007
