AU on Husband's Cap1

Need help deciding what to do.Husband has Cap1 since 6/06 Had 1 30day late 7/07.Should I stay AU on account because of history built or try to delete because of late pay?

CL $4000.00 Util $2400

Depends on what effect it is having on your credit.  Do you know what your current FICO scores are?  If you've got, say, a 750 score, then it's might not make much of a difference.

The positive factors aren't really all that meaningful. It's more like that they are saying that your length of history is nice. But it's the negatives that drive the score.

 

What's your current age of oldest account and average age of accounts? If you came off his card, what would the figures be?

 

It might be that it sorta helps your length of history, but not all that much.

 

What are your other negatives, in order?

Oldest account 1999

 

Negatives

Chase off 3/11

Chase off 4/11

HSBC off 6/11

Citi auto 4 more years (totalled car and settled for $1500.00 less than balance.Didn't know it would affect credit.They offered it)
