Guess that means she was denied......???
not exactly true. I got the same message a couple of times in the past and the next day i would log into my account and see the new CL. But i would probably suggest your wife to call the BofA backdoor number so she can speak to an analyst regarding the online request and they will manually review it. Good luck to DW and keep us posted!
Thanks. I'll keep you posted. The card is 6 years old, always paid on time and kept a zero. Used very heavily. And the limit is 1600. I told her that with the salary she has, 720 credit score, and being a cardholder that long, it's just weird to me that they would keep the limit that low. Maybe they don't auto-increase.....???
So I decided she should request an increase.....
Well they approved her for 5K limit. The beginning limit was 1.6K. I asked for 10K limit, but I guess they will only go up so much "times" the previous limit. Makes sense. Anyway, better than nothing.....
Congrat! to DW thats a big jump! and yes better than nothing.
So far we're 3 for 3 this week....
AMEX.....10K to 24K
BOA........ 1.6K to 5K
Discover.. 4K to 7.3K
Just waiting on Cap One to approve....not looking good though....heard they were a tough lender to get CLI
Current limit with them now....... 20K

Congrats on the CLIs. On Capital One, try the executive office. I did this last month, two old cards, one at $15K unchanged since 1999 and one at $30K unchanged since 2004. I asked for a $3K increase on the $30K one (just to beat my highest card) and said I didn't need a CLI on the other as I never use it (but wanted rewards added). They gave me the $33K, and gave me $20K and the rewards on the other (despite my non-request). YMMV but with the higher credit limits I think they are more flexible.
Longtimelurker......should I wait to see if the current review is denied/approved first and then call the EO? And how do I get the EO's number?
Ok, I'll look them up on Facebook.
Just got a message back from them on Facebook. They told me to email social@capitalone.com. So that's what I did. Now I wait.....
