About to close my oldest account

I'd like to close my HSBC mastercard that has a CL of 1400. Ive had it 4.3 years  We all know this card will not grow with me and has a annual fee.  My credit utilization is 20% with total combined credit of 18K so im not worried about the score dropping at closing.  I have read the article on closing accounts and understand that I will possibly affect me when it drops off in 10 years, but I plan on having the other cards.  Does anyone know if its a benefit to have a open card for at least five years? or any other reason I should keep this junk card?

Unless you want to wait and see how HSBC cards will change once Cap1 takes over HSBC, I don't see why you should keep it. You got plenty of credit, closing the account will not hurt your AAoA immediately (thats 10 yrs down the road), and save money from the annual fee.
