There are 2 different benefits. One is warranty extension, it extends warranties an additional 1 year after the original warranty. There is also a return policy that states you can return any qualifying item within 90days.

I am not sure how the process works because I have never used it, but Visa and Mastercard have it on some of their cards. I know that all Visa Signature and World Mastercards have it. Discover only has this service on business cards I believe.
