Is there any way for me to get the account number for an old, closed cc account when I don't have any of the paperwork for it?

I can think of two possibilities. 1) Try calling the creditor and see if they have any records based on your SSN. 2) Try looking at your CRs to find pieces of the account number, and then calling the creditor to see if it can be traced or something.
