Activating a credit card and using it after having it for a few months.

Few months ago I tried to get a barclays financing card and I ended up getting it for $500 dollars...so when i got it i just SD'd it and never looked at it. If i just activated it successfully and am gonna start using it. Will they know it was just started to be used or will they assume becuase of the opening date thats its been in use for a a few months. By they I mean future credit card companies.

The activation date is not on your credit report, the opening date is.   So in the future they will know when the account opened and recent actviity..
