Adding an Authorized User

I have a question. My wife wants to add me on her Sears card. I was wondering if this would hit my FICO reports with hard pull?

Re: Adding an Authorized User

no AU isn't resposiable to pay the bill so no credit, now if want add her to account and make it a joint account that would take a credit check
People say "Only apply for credit you NEED"

I say "apply for credit you have PRATICAL use of"

I don't have AMEX card because I don't want a card that suffers from PMS

The account is in good standing with a low utilization. Would adding me as an authorized user help my score? And I pay the bill anyway.

Many variables come into play to determine whether it would help or hurt your score.

What is your current average age of accounts (not counting the Sears card)?
What is your current revolving utilization percentage?
How long ago was the Sears card opened?
What is the utilization on the Sears card?
Does the Sears card have any late payments reporting (even if they were long ago)?
