Hello,
Who pulls EX for Master Card or Visa? My credit file is thin. Holding off on applying, because in need of car loan. After reading some threads, should I apply for credit card before car loan? Seems applicants are being denied due to recent car loans. I only have a 320CL Orchard Bank. No baddies on EX. Two baddies on TU & EQ., A, 225,000 mortgage, 120 days, late but paid in full 2005 and one judgment from 2005 paid, reporting satisfied. EQ history 18 years and EX & TU history 7 years.
I am in New Jersey
EX fako 731 (report clean)
TU 715 1 baddie satisfied judgment(2005)
EQ 693 2 baddies both satisfied

Addison Avenue Federal Credit Union pulls EX and has good rates. Just join Financial Fitness Association for $5 and you are eligible.
Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union (PSECU) pulls EX (but hard to qualify).

I would app for what you need first, and see if they will consider both on same pull. Addison is awesome to talk to on the phone (so for at least) ![]()

HSBC owner of your Orchard pulls EX and has some prime cards too. But now the attack on HSBC can renew for me even bringing them up.
Does HSBC do auto loans?

My theory:
1. CU's are best financial/credit partners
2. Finding a CU who pulls your strongest CR is best
3. Combination of CU paying good deposit rates and having good loan rates is double plus
4. Addison Avenue has CC rates as low as 5.24% and auto loans ~5.49%
5. Addison has dividend reward checking with 3.41% APR
6. Addison pulls EX
7. Anyone can join Addison (by joining Financial Fitness Association for $5)
So, from what I gathered from OP, Addison is a good candidate.
For me, EQ & TU were my best CR's, so I went with Alliant, PenFed & NFCU. However, I joined Addison as well.

OP- yeah go ahead and skip HSBC, you can do better.
disclaimer: this is a word to the wise, not an attack ![]()
