go for freedom and either BofA cash back or BBR. the discover site isn't really a good indicator if you're actually qualified whereas i HEAR (from other posters) that chase and BofA's prequal site is pretty good.

Chase
Freedom
Slate
Bank of America
BankAmericard Travel Rewards
BankAmericard Better Balance Rewards
BankAmericard Visa
BankAmericard Cash Rewards
Discover
Discover It
Capital One
Capital One Platinum
What are the pros/cons. Outside of my credit union that doesn't have a prequalify site which of these would you add? Looking to add 2 or 3.
lol, BoA andf Discover "prequals" are worthless. You really only got 3 solid prequals, the two Chase cards and the typical Cap One platty.

I even fell for the Discover pre-qual when it came to helping a friend out, though we didnt pull the trigger because it felt too good to be true. Hard to blame anyone

So based on what you all are saying the Freedom for sure and probably BoA.
This probably isn't the right forum to ask but I'll ask anyways. I know when apping for a home loan you shouldn't add cards 6 months prior is it the same idea for an auto loan?
I'm not confident in choosing BoA, your scores may be below a threshold.
The 6 month period isnt specific to home loans, or auto loans. Thats just the period that inquiries no longer have a considerable effect on your score.

Unless your scores have jumped at least 100 points from what is showing in your sig, you'd be wasting a hard pull with BOA.
