I see that this thread has taken on a life of its own?   

 

I don't see members who were approved for Capital One Venture cards as potentially being in any potential danger any more than having other credit cards?   I look at the approval threads and 16.9% is actually not that much different than the 14-15% interest rates that I see on other cards?   

 

I think the main point that I got from the discussion is that lenders are in business of making money through astute strategies of lending their money.  And those strategies, while we are no privy to, we participate in and sometimes they leave us cockeyed from confusion. I am happy with my Capital One approval...$10k is my highest limit.  I am also aware that Capital One needs to make efforts to right the ship in terms of their customer service department.  That is just something that leadership will have to make a committment to do.
