All the prior success has caught up to me

All reports are current with new accounts and my TU98 took a 41 point nosedive!! Smiley Sad

They slapped that "seeking credit" tag on me again!!

I'm actually disappointed in myself for going for the 2 GE accounts (Lowes/Amazon), I have no regrets picking up AMEX/Discover

So my garden journey continues and hopefully some nice boosts back to where I was come to me!

And a heads up, you probably won't see me as much here after today, the promotion I got last month changed to a different property where im going to be extremely busy and stressed!! I'll still make it a point to pop in!

Congrats on the promotion; don't be a stranger! No one wants to do the happy dance by themselves!

41 point nosedive, but we know it'll get better in a few months. It was worth it for the AMEX/Discover, plus, the fact that you feel "regret" over certain cards means that you know now what kind of cards you would rather go for. It's a good sign. 2012 is just a garden year for you, a very good garden year.

And sad to see you won't be around as much.

I know new accounts age up after a year, but don't some people see improvements at three or six months? i assume a lot of it has to do with your AAoA?

They do, but after a year, the INQ's also stop factoring into the FICO score even if they still show up until 2 years.

So you get the added benefit of having the average of 5 points per INQ being cleared up after a year. (I'm guesstimating at 5 points, btw)

Re: All the prior success has caught up to me

Big congrats on the promotion LS !

The stress of a new situation\position and loss of 41 points will all fade fairly quick, you'll see.  Timing is nice really, you got your garden set up right before a promotion.   While you're getting settled in with the new position, your score will be quietly building on great cards, I bet you'll have great updates to share as time goes by Smiley Happy

Congrats on the promotion!!! And, you now have a nice portfolio of cards to take with you into the future. Your scores will recover, so you just need to sit tight and enjoy your success. Take care, and I look forward to hearing from you when you have the time to stop in. Smiley Happy
