Hi,

I would like to join Alliant CU and live in San Diego, California. Can anyone tell me a quick way to join through an affiliation of membership similiar to what I did to get into PSECU?

I joined the Orphan Foundation of America organization to join Alliant CU last year. It looks like OFA has changed its name to Foster Care for Success. You can join them in the link below for $10. Then proceed to join Alliant CU.

yes they HP your EQ. they pulled my EQ report when i applied for an account. since they already HP'd my EQ, i went ahead and app'd for their cc after they accepted me as a member. might as well apply for cc since they'll use the same pull within 30 days.

Thanks for the info. I just applied and was approved for checking/savings. Dont really need any more credit at this time. I hear they are really great !!!!!

From what I remember, yes they do. Just like most CUs, they like pulling EQ.

They hard pull EQ and Chexsystem. Make sure both are not freezed.

for me...i use customer service as a marker of how good a company is. and from the times i've spoken with their reps over the phone...they are great! i also love the fact that i can transfer funds from my Alliant account to any of my other accounts in other banking institutions (and vice versa using their online banking) for free. now i have them as my primary bank. when my direct deposit comes through, i just fund my other accounts without having to drive to the other bank's location.
