Almost ready to throw in the towel on Household late pay...

Yesterday I spoke with the assistant to the president of HSBC. She claims there's nothing they can do to remove the 30 day late pay unless I can prove it was an error on their part. Although she was pleasant, she says "it isn't HSBC's policy to goodwill."

In addition to this, I already mailed 4 GW letters. I'm not sure if there's much else left for me to do. The 30 day late just hit 6 months and is my only blemish out of a 54 month account history with Household.

Let it go?

or

Keep it going?

Give it some time to age, and put the error on them.  That is what they want.  I've done that with GEMB.  I had two GEMB cards. I confused them so much about the two accounts, they just deleted both tradelines after I sent an email to the CEO and filed a complaint with the BBB.

Didn't we just go through this last week? Same advice applies. Monthly GW letters until they relent. You're using a word processor - it can' t be that much effort and it only costs a stamp!

It might take years to get the job done!
