Hi All,
I apologize if this has been posted before, but I guess my search skills aren't up to par.
Anyway, like most people, I've been trying to get the CC debt down and some recent BT's have come my way that are very attractive at the moment (ie, 3-4% for the lifetime of the BT). The only way this will work out for me, though, is if I can get a BT (just temporarily) from AmEx, since it had a CL sufficient for this money shuffling.
Is calling them up the only way? I'm really not into phone conversations in general. I don't why, it's just the way I am.
Thanks!
Open your AMEX website.
Go to summary of accounts page
On upper right see column under (Mange your account)
About five or six gold buttons down click for (See all account services)
All of your accounts will show on this page when open.
Choose which card account you want to use and to the right of said card click (Make changes to this card)
When this opens , on the lower left of the page, click on the second blue bar that says ( Credit and balance transfers.
That's it. I do BTs with them all the time. If you have a good financial relationship with them it will be fine.

Thanks!

Amex is currently in financial turmoil. It's completely feasible to me that they might have stopped accepting BTs altogether. They have enough of their own debt, they might not be accepting 3rd party debt anymore.
That's awesome Amex upped your CL recently. They've done quite the opposite for me, and many, many others with the current credit climate and all.

Thanks, CHARGE_IT! I hadn't ever looked there before. Looks like AmEx likes to give me credit, but no BT love. Weird...
You are welcome. They don't throw BTs around a lot
The first time I stumbled onto that area I was amazed and impressed. My initial response was to see what else I could find. It is a complicated site, and I still have to look for most things when I need them. I did double check those directions before submitting them to you. Glad you found it.
