Amazon Store Card CLI - Hard or Soft Inquiry?

Ive searched online and on the forums and cant seem to find a definite answer to this question...if you click the LUV button on the Amazon store card, is it going to be a hard inquiry or a soft inquiry?

 

Also, just out of curiosity, If you do it before 4 statements is it even possible to get a CLI?

CLIs with GE-backed cards are SP.  And AFAIK, I don't think the LUV button will work before the 4th statement.  You'll get a letter saying you don't have enough experience with the current credit limit.

Button didn't work for me when I tried it after 2 months just for the heck of it -- but they did bump me from $600 to $900 automatically after the 3rd statement. Smiley Happy

Mine didn't work until exactly 2x after 4th statement date (once statement shows posted on account). Then hit it and went from 600 --> 900.  Soft pull.
