I have an Amazon Store card and I can't remember exactly when I got it, but according to myFico it started reporting on March 1st, 2014. It has a CL of $800 and right not my balance is $239.50. I am trying to pay offer my PS3 with the 6 month interest free promotion on it and that's less than 30% uti on the card, so I'm mildly pleased about that. Sure it's not 10% or less, but I'm no where near max either. Anyway, what I can't seem to figure out is when Amazon reports my balance. I've seen it report several times already since I had it, and it's always been different dates. 3/1 reported that I had the card, 3/5 reported that I had a $0 balance, 3/6 reported that I had a $86 balance, 4/14 reported my balance of $165, and the latest was 5/16 reporting my balance was $126. So, I'm thouroughly confused as to when it'll post so if I can I can make sure to pay my balance before it did. If anyone can shed some light on this, I would greatly appreciate it.
Furthermore, I hear that they give automatic CLI every 3/4 months, is that so? And if it is, when is it? Could I expect to get 1 June 1st or maybe July 1st? And furthermore, how much do they usually increase it to? Is it like a certain % of your current CL or maybe a set amount like $300/$400, or something like that? Could someone help me with either 1 of these questions?

Regarding the credit line increases, I started with a $800 limit with them, too. Four months after I opened the account, I tried the luv button and got an increase of $400. I did a lot of my Christmas shopping on Amazon, so my balance was a little high at one point, and I had paid it down to about $300 when I got the CLI. So, you may want to try the luv button after four months.

@Anonymous, thanks for the info @Kennie02. If that's the case, I guess it should report on the 8th since my due date is on the 5th? Is that how it works?
And to @PandiferBear , I really hope I can get that kind of increase when I hit the luv button. I was just hoping I wouldn't have to though, as I've heard that people have received auto CLIs with this card. Anyway, when you hit the luv button, do you know if it was a SP or a HP on your CR? I'm really trying to cut back on HPs, especially for the time being.

It was a soft pull. FYI - I also tried the button maybe two or three months after opening the account, and did not get a CLI. However, at four months it went right through. I am waiting until early-July right now, and I am going to try for another CLI via the luv button then.
I went from $600 to $1400 after 4 months, with the luv button. Make sure you've had 4 statements. If you've had a 0 balance, sometimes a statement isn't generated.

Thanks @PandiferBear, glad to hear it was a SP. I hope we both can get CLIs by next month, that would be something!
And thanks for the heads up @Countingpennies. I'll do just that, and as soon as I get a 4th statement, I'll go ahead and hit the luv button. Hopefully by then, my score will have increased as well!!!

Whatever you statement close date is, that's when the balance is reported. GE is usually very fast to report new accounts, so your first month of reporting sounds typical for them.
Amazon works like any other GE card, in terms of CLI. Request one after every 4th statement using the LUV button or Credit Solutions. They haven't been as CLI friendly for me as my other GE cards, so YMMV for CLIs. I opened mine in July with a $700 CL...no LUV from the button or CS yet. :-(

The due date is different from the statement close date for most CCs. For example, my Amazon is due on the 28th, but the statement closes on the 6th. The only CC I have where the due date and statement date are the same is Macy's.

Ok, I know what you mean now. I logged into my account and I can see I have 3 statements already, and the dates were the 11th and 13th, which do correspond to the reports on my CR, as in 3 days before. Thanks for all the info and advice, I'm gonna wait for my next statement, and hopefully that button will show me some luv!
