Alright here we go but I was thinking about applying Amazon but its 2 different products one is Amazon Visa which is backed by Chase while Amazon Card is backed by GECRB correct? So once I submit it, they will check to see if you do qualify for a Amazon Visa 1st if not then it would go to Amazon Card but I am wondering if its same hard pull ? not 2 pulls total ( Chase 1st then if no good GECRB is next which counts 2nd HP ???
I opened an Amazon Visa a year and a half ago- as far as I'm aware, I only have one inquiry for it.
I believe it is as most places- if you can get the Amazon Chase (visa), they give you that, and if not, you get the Amazon in-store card. That may not still be the case, but I'd imagine it is.
No, you either apply for the Chase Amazon or the Amazon store card. Separate applications and there is no booby prize of getting the Amazon store card if you don't qualify for the Chase Amazon.
Oh must have changed then. As far as I recall, I just applied, and got an approval, and bought my stuff, and eventually my card came in the mail.
The amazon store card and the chase amazon rewards card are two distinctly different product only linked by name. as mentioned before, they are backed by different financial institutions. The store card in my opinion is the better option if you're a heavy shopper on Amazon since you can then take advantage of 6, 12, and 24 month financing options quite easily. also, a high CL is very easy to get in a short period of time if you are a heavy amazon shopper.
The Chase Amazon card is a Visa card that can also be used anyone and has a rewards program with shopping on amazon being the only worthwhile part of the rewards program at 3% cash back.
Some people have both and use either depending on their repayment schedule.
consider your spend pattern now and in the future on amazon in helping you deicde which one to app for. you may even decide you would find both useful.
Thanks, which one do you think its easier to get it at 5 years BK? Amazon Visa thru Chase or most likely its gonna be Amazon Store Card?

I'd go for the GECRB card, the store version.
I got approved with an initial cl of 1200 with a 672 TU fico.
Plus they ALWAYSoffer 0% on purchase for 6,12+ months dependent on the purchase price.
Just mho. GECRB is great with clis too. In a little over a year, I've gone from 1200-10000.
I've only had it for 2 months and I've gone from $1.7k to $4k with heavy spending on it. In early May, I will once again ask for $10k CL. hopefully I'll join you in the 5 digit CL land with amazon soon enough.
With the store card, are these auto CLI's or did you request them?
Very different cards for very different uses. The Chase card is for cash back rewards. The store card is for financing. With the store card you can get 6 months 0% on pretty much any purchase $150+ and they do regular promotions for TV's, computers, etc at 12+ months. Longest I think I've seen is 24 months. Keep in mind these promos keep a running total of interest and if you don't pay it off you'll be hit with interest from day one so make sure you don't bite off more than you can chew.
The Amazon card is for rewards, i.e. cash back. Since the demise of the Citi Forward card I believe it's the best choice for amazon purchases other than when the Freedom or Discover do 5% back occationally.

Auto every four months but if your credit supports it you can call and talk to the underwriters for a larger increase.
