Will your invitation still be good?

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Are there benefits to a charge card vs credit card?

There sure are.

1. You can charge a lot more on a charge card than CCs. I've charged more on Amex than all my other card CLs added together.

2. Balances report but don't affect your FICO scores. When I did the above and let it report it made not a whit of difference to my FICO score.

3. And the last thing is that you can pay right up to the day before your next statement cuts without it being late, though they do suggest you pay within 2 weeks.

I have reestablished credit over the last couple years
so my moniker is, well, rather out of date.

Def depends on how you want to use it and if you UTL the rewards. I USED to use my amex for everything, but I found better rewards in using my CSP. So now I barely spend anything on my Amex and put everything on my Chase cards. Smiley Sad

I really wanted to build my relationship with Amex a lot more, but I'm just not captivated by their rewards anymore :-/

Is there a no fee Alex charge card? I couldn't find one. This sounds like it might be good for car rentals and such.

Re: Amer Ex charge card vs revolver

That is correct ... Getting a Amex charge card basic one like green and gold is quite easy ... However on another hand getting a revolve one is bit difficult .. I have below cards list as of now from amex ...

Amex green
Amex Zync
Amex blue
Amex blue cash every day
Amex Costco
And I am AU on Amex gold and BCE.

I applied for Amex blue sky yesterday and waiting for a decision ...

These days they have made more strict rules for revolve or lending card products than a charge card ...

Good luck to you and let me know in case you are looking for specific info
