Hey everyone. I've been doing some research on these forums and others. From what I've gathered, the American Express Blue Cash Everyday card is difficult to get. My current AAoA is around 1 year and 3 months. I have 5 credit cards (Chase Freedom $3,500, Bank of America Cash Rewards $1,500, Discover It Student $750, Captial One Cash Rewards for Newcomers $750, Target Store Card $700). My current scores are 748 TU, 708 EQ, and 731 EX. I want to get an American Express card because I know they are presitigious and it would allow me to have a Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and Amex in my wallet. I'm just wondering if I have the credit profile they are looking for or do I need more history or a higher score to be considered a worthy risk? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Last time I applied was about 2 months ago. I'm glad I did because I was approved for Chase Freedom, but I wish I would have went ahead and app'd for Amex.

Yes, I think you will be approved so long as you don't have negatives on your experian or teletrack.

By that profile, you should have an easy approval, only thing if you want to wait maybe a month tops because of that recent Chase approval but it is only 1 cc, i think you are good to pull the trigger even now, although i would make sure my utilization is no more than 10-15%

How many inquiries do you have on Experian?
I think you have a really good shot at being approved for the BCE. I would just go for it directly instead of applying for the Green for getting your foot in the door with AMEX. I went straight for the BCE and was approved. Good luck! I'm sure you'll be fine ![]()

If you got good credit AMEX won't shoot you down if you got low utilization, i got my BCE with 8 hard inq. on EX, and Blue SKY with 9 a week later
