American Express Backdating Question

My new charge card is reporting to my report finally, but it is saying I opened it 8/2014 instead of 6/2013 like my original.

does that mean they didn't effectively backdate the card?

Call them and ask them to correct your member since date. Don't ask them to backdate.

edit: the new member since date on your charge card should be. 8/13 8 the month you applied 13 the year you became an AMEX member.

My card says member since 13, but it's reporting to the CRA as 2014. Any insight here?

Call and have them correct it. It may straighten itself out after a couple statements reporting.
