I agree it all depends what you want - the clear offers less cash awards then the blue card. However, if you want a card that has more flexibility regarding:

-grace period (which is 5 days longer then most other cards)
-free credit report
-free balance transfers
-free cash advances

Then you should go for it! If you want more cash awards and more fees go with the blue or gold!

Good luck and in the end, its all about how you plan to use the card.

free=no one-time fee

I don't believe the blue card is fee-free, there are balance transfer fees, cash advance fees, etc...

Hi Everyone,
 
The Clear is fee free for everything.  I like this card a lot and used it alot before I got the Blue and Amex Gold rewards.
 
My blue does not charge me for balance transfers, but they do charge for late fees. I have not experienced that and have no plans in the future.  But it is not a fee-free card like the Clear.
 
Clear is the only card I know of that is fee free.

you also get a $25 check for  every $2,500  you put on the card
