American Express Grace Periods.

So whats the grace period like on the charge cards my closing date on my gold card is tomorrow.

There is a "please pay by" date on the statement that is like 15 days after the statement closes, but that is actually just a suggestion.  Payment is not considered late unless it has not been received by the time the next statement closes.

I don't know if Amex actually cares when you pay during the month.  I use their autopay which makes the payment on the suggestion date.  But I imagine they could look favorably at cardmembers who routinely pay earlier.

I believe that you have until 45 days after statement close before you pay any penalities or fees.
