After a couple of months of agonizing over whether to apply or not, and soliciting thoughts and advice (see link)
I finally pulled the trigger and applied by phone.
I was shocked and ecstatic to hear "Welcome to American Express".
INSTANT APPROVAL!! I DID IT!! WHOO HOO!!
Thanks to all who gave me advice and encouragement ... I am now thinking I need a comparable Visa or MC to go along with it .... thoughts? Ideas?

BTW, last week I've got Discover More $7500 limit, that wold be nice card to try if you don't have one already
