American Express backdating with a Serve card

I'm not interested in an American Express card right now, but I might be in the future, and would like to make use of American Express backdating. If I were to get a Serve card (which I know is not a credit card), and cancel it or just not really use it, would a future credit card get backdated to the date I got my Serve card?

No. It's a completely different product to a CC. However, if my memory serves(LOL) me right, there was a post not too long ago about someone who apparently was backdated to when they had a Serve card. YMMV.
