American Express increase of initial credit limit

So I applied for an Amex card in Feb 2013 with a CL of $5500. I used my card frequently and made a large purchase of over $1000 by 9 months and received a notification of an automatic CL increase to $7700 the day after the large purchase. About exactly 3 months later (today), I requested a CL increase through my online account of $10,500 and was instantly approved. Amex is definitely good at approving credit line increases.

if you can't request more than $25k on phone, why not do it online?

id ALWAYS request the full 3x of your then current CL... It's in the system and will instantly spit back counter.

my partners costco recently went $8000 to $11,900 on counter of the $24,000 asked for.
