Re: American Express

Amex almost always pulls EX, and since nearly all of us do not have access to this score, this question is more difficult to answer than it was in the past.
Credit Profile -
FICO 08 Scores (11-08-2014): EQ 818, EX 817, TU 822
All three scores were 850. Lost points for not having an open installment TL. So, BE WARNED!!!!!

Re: American Express

EX and Amex are like two peas in a pod.  when i hear of them pulling others it is usually in addition to EX.  they appear to have a demonstrable preference for EX which in general we no longer have access to.

Re: American Express

The last time I apped for an Amex card I had EX frozen. They called me and asked me which report I wanted them to pull. I told them EQ and was approved immediately. Whatever you do, the Delta card and the Green and Gold charge cards are the easiest to get approved for. If you want a Blue or the like app for Delta and then convert.

Re: American Express

I think the Amex Green is the one easiest to approve for today.

As I know Fico 670+  should be safe to get the card.

Good Luck:smileyhappy:

Re: American Express

Amex uses their own internal score method as well as Fico. I've seen 580's get a Delta then convert it to Blue cash. I've seen 680's get denied. Fico isn't everything.
