Amex 3x CL Help

Hi all,

I used the search bar and still could not understand how the 3x cl works. 2 weeks ago i got approved for amex everday the new one for 3,500. Now in 60 days what do i have to do ;o to request it? would they even give me the 10,500 limit with a 26k income 19 years old.

Re: Amex 3x CL Help

request the 3x in 61 days. They will either deny, approver or offer a lower number. I was approved for 3x the first time around but counter offered for almost the full 3x on my next go around. I am gonna let that be as its enough credit for me.

It's actually 61 dyas, but Yay! congrats on your approval I wasn't sure you were ever going to apply for it. You got some pretty awful advice on your thread from people telling you that you had no chance getting an amex with a short history (so I'm happy to see you finally ignored it!). Anyway many people report success with having the 3x increase granted so I wish you luck as well! I am about to do mine in 4 days but I don't think I will be approved due to adding 2 more tradelines at the same time I got my amex. Good luck to you in 2 months.

I am in the same situation...just got approved for bce even though I wanted a higher limit I am relying on the 3x to get me there...initial credit of 4500

Let me know how it goes when you apply for it....I think you have to call in to ask for the 3x increase I have also heard you can click a link when you log in online...

Re: Amex 3x CL Help

I started with a $4000 limit on my amex blue cash everyday and after 1 year I asked for $10,000 using the increase line of credit button and the computer countered with $5100. I am 21 years old and about the same income as you, I don't think it would be possible to go that high with our young age and low income

You can do it all online at the 61 day mark. Please read the following link, it has literally EVERYTHING you need to know about getting a CLI with Amex. It was postedin this thread already, but it seems that some reinforcement is needed.
