There are ways.  Google is your friend...

You can a receive a free copy of your credit report once annually.

To other members: While disputing inaccurate information is well within a consumer's right and will get a free credit report, let's try to recommend the above site a lot more. I am appalled at how few people know about the site and at how often I am posting about the site after others have directed posters elsewhere, including getting a report through MyFico. Lets try to send people to the free option first and then to all of the other wonderful locations second. I think it is our jobs as consumers to inform each other, and the forums are a great way to inform others about the free options available.

Thanks for listening! (and bring on the consequences of the suggestion)

In My Wallet: Amex BCP (12/12) $13,500, Cap1 Cash Rewards (6/12) $9,000, Barclaycard Arrival (5/13) $7,500, Citi Forward (12/12) $6,500, Chase Freedom (12/12) $5,000

Re: Amex 3x cli results

With Experian, unlike the other two, there is no need to even play the "dispute" ruse to see a current report.  At the bottom of the Experian dot com home page, there is a link to "View Report Again".  You do need to put a valid report number in to gain access, but it will work for many months.  I am still using my free one from August.  The report that you are viewing is a current real time report, not a copy of what you have aleady seen.    And you can see softs.    When you log out a pop-up reminds you to write the number down if you want to see your report again "in the neat future.  An Experian rep pointed this out to me so I could verify an update he was doing.
