Amex 60 days coming up next Friday. Want to get 3x CLI. What should I do between now and then?

I've read the sticky post on this subject.

I have BCP. Current limit is $3000, my lowest limit of all my cards. I spent over $3,000 per month on it since I got it, and paid off in full. Currently have about a $200 balance, since I made some purchases since my last payment. Should I have a $0 balance when I make the request?

Other CC balances are higher than I'd like--aggregate utilization is about 20%, though not all of that is reflected on my report yet--reported utilization probably closer to 15%.

Last time I checked my CreditKarma score it was 712.

Any moves I should make between now and next Friday to maximize chance of success?

Citi Platinum Dividend $34,600 line, 14.2%%
Bank of America Platinum Rewards, $85,000 line, 13.99%
Discover It $50,000 line, 20.9%
Amex Blue Cash Preferred $18,000 line, 9.99%
Capital One Venture One, $8,500 line, 20.9%
Amex Hilton Honors $25,000 line, 17.24%

Amex Delta Platinum, 20,000 line, 22.99%
Belk store card, $124 line, 15%, $0 balance on all cards

$0 is idea but not necessary! They look at your internal score and overall CR because they have been SPing you. Just make sure your CR improved in the 61 day time frame and you should be good.

my credit karma score actually took about a 20 point dive after I opened this account, due (I surmise) to the extra inquiry and decraese in average age of accounts. Do they account for that sort of thing when they look to see whether your report improved over the 61 day period?

CKs credit scoring model is strange. You can have a balance of 1 dollar and it will drop your score a lot. It's a FAKO I use them for teens in my file not the score.

I am not sure what AMEX looks for because they have their internal spring model. But keep your balances low overall at time of request and don't app Smiley Happy
