Amex 61 Day CLI 7-10 Day Message

So I opened my Gold Delta Skymiles account on January 4th, 2014  with a $1000 limit according to my Experian credit report and its the same date that showed online.  I calculated that my 61st day would have been March 6th, 2014. I waited until this morning 3/7/2014 and asked for my total CL to be $3000 on the website and I got back the 7-10 day message. I put a few hundred dollars through the card each month and made sure that the card was PIF before I asked for the CLI. I actually accidentally overpaid and had an overage of $55 on the card when I applied. I got the 7-10 day message once I submitted the CLI request. I've had no baddies report to any of my credit bureaus, no lates or anything. My EX fico as of the last update in February is 654, not sure for March as PSECU hasn't updated the FICO score yet. The only thing I can think of is that I have added two Chase cards with a total CL of $6000 since my application. Any ideas? I love Amex and love the backdating (back to 1999!!!) just a little confused with the lack of a CLI. I know its not a sure thing though.

I see that your MSD has been backdated to 1999, so i'm assuming that your AAoA is good along with everything else in your profile.  I was denied of my 3x CLI, I waited a day for them to either counter it or send me the flat out denied email....got neither.  So I called the CSR (eventually esculated to an analyst) who said that it was denied and went over the reasons. 

I would give it until today and see if you get an email or anything..if not then best way is to call to find out.  Best of luck to you.

I would call.. always a better chance by doing a recon.. let u know if you do and what happens

just FYI. I did a request increase from 8k to 23k over the weekend , got the 7-10 days message ; come Monday morning they had approved . I think they just needed to manually review it.
