Amex Au: How long?

My parents applied for me as an AU on their Amex on 1/23 (two weeks ago). Amex said 7-10 days for approval. My parents are out of town and I can't call to verify but I am at their house, no mail yet. Is that a good sign? Do they generally just send the card if/when approved and would this be the right time frame? Kind of thinking a denial would be faster (no need to print card etc.)

I don't think you have to be approved to become an au on someone's account. I just made someone an au on my account last week and after she finished putting her info in they told her she would receive her card in 1 to 2 weeks. Her name is already showing up on the part of the site where they show your purchases
