Amex Authorized User Policy - reporting date

I know backdating is not an the table anymore but some recent speculation on the Amex community makes me wonder about the their AU policy.

Does Amex report AU accounts with the date of original account opening or the date when the AU was added to the account. In essence, does Amex operate like all the other major credit card issuers regarding AU accounts?

So for a card opened in March 2014 will an AU account added today show March 2014 or April 2016 in the "Opened Date" category?

Re: Amex Authorized User Policy - reporting date

My first card was an AU on my Dad's Green Card. He opened it way back in the 80's. On my reports it shows up as June 2014.

Correct.  They don't back date for authorized users just as they don't for the card holders.
