Amex BCE CLI question...

So last week I was approved for the Amex BCE card with a SL of $1k.

I just received the card yesterday and activated. However, I requested a CLI over the phone through the automated system. It asked for the amount I wanted and my total income...then it said, please hold while we transfer your call to a specialist. She then verified my information and said it is in for manual review and I should get an email link in 7-10 days with the outcome of my CLI request...

Did I screw up by not trying the CLI online or is this normal? I'm afraid of manual review as I literally just opened the card.

Any thoughts or insight would help, thank you in advance!

This is normal and you didn't screw up.  If the initial approval was a $1,000 then you barely made it.  Whatever the outcome is, don't push for a CLI anytime soon and just use the card and show responsible payment.  That will improve your chances greatly the next time you request a CLI..

Very well. Yes I think I barely got by with the 'lets see if we trust you' limit. I will wait it out and see what happens.
