Did you read my post Correctly? I get it, I shouldn't have app'ed.
I read it, just find it curious you would apply with a month old derogatory. Amex is unforgiving with very fresh derogatories. As a matter of fact, most if not all lending institutions are the same. The longer they age, the better your chances become.
Amex is also notoriously known not to approve with multiple baddies and no credit history. So I app'ed.... your "curiosity" is somewhat offensive.
The age of the baddie doomed you. The amount of the default may have also come into play if an ETF was involved. Once you clear it up, I'm sure your chances will improve. I can almost guarantee you the approvals with "baddies" were not from individuals that just had the default placed on his/her credit.
True. Sorry what's ETF?
The early termination fee. Sometimes creditors are forgiving if you are looking at a debt less than 100-200. Have you tried for a Pay For Delete? Being it was just put on your report they may be receptive to it.
It's a mess, they won't do a pay for delete and I'm currently disputing it. No luck with Transunion and it's still processing with EX
Emmy, did T mobile sell the collection to a 3rd party collection agency?...if so, who is the collection agency. I consider myself pretty good at disputing collections and have dealt with alot of them in the past.

Have you ever dealt with online collections? I have one paid collection from 09 for a final utility bill for 65 bucks that I didn't know about until it was on my CR. I immediately paid it in full. Then I signed up here...
