As for poking the beast, its a soft pull so I see no reason why you shouldn't, I did have util that was good........one thing to remember in my eyes is that if you already have good util, by increasing the CL you will in reality droping your util again as if approved you will have more credit.

(with income well into the 100s). caviat is I probably should have waited considered i just paid off the balance from our honeymoon this month, as well as PIF all our balances on all cc's (50% utilization > 0%). I am hoping this puts things in a much better light
. Do you know if i have to wait a specific amount of time post decline?
I have read on multiple threads here that you can reapply for a CLI after a decline once 90 days have passed since the declined CLI request. You must wait 6 months to request another CLI after you receive an approved CLI.

OP - WOW! that's an amazing CLI and CL! Congrats!
Hey everyone - I called Amex this week and was told my actual account opening was Jan 9th. Today puts me at 62 days. Do you think I should wait till Monday to apply for the CLI or just go for it. Does applying on weekend make much difference? Thanks!

I'd wait until Monday.
