Congrats on all of the BCP CCs!

What kind of scores do you guys have who are getting approved do for this cc?

Re CCCs selling to you, I had that in a big way from Cap One! It was very irritating. They were definitely high-pressured and would not take no for an answer!

Re: Amex BCP CLI $5k ---> $15k!

I'm hoping after my one collection drops off in Jan/Feb, my scores will go into the 700s. But I may need to wait longer to app w/amex since I have a short cr history. It looks like 730+ is necessary for Amex.

Re: Amex BCP CLI $5k ---> $15k!

I'm still waiting on mine to come in the mail as well.  I got $2k which matching my highest reporting limit.  I'm hoping they will show me some love and Amex will get me out of low CL territory and others will follow the lead.  I intend to make it my daily card.  I was at 734 with two five year old unpaid collections when approved.  I believe if it wasn't for my address recently changing it would have been instant, as soon as they verified that it was approved.

Re: Amex BCP CLI $5k ---> $15k!

Question:  Who decided 3x your CL is the max you can ask/get?  Does Amex state that somewhere or have they told people that?  Or have people just not been approved for anything over 3x?  A curious mind wants to know!  Anyone want to be a guinea pig - ask for 4x the limit or even 3.1x? :smileyvery-happy:

The Amex system informs you when you submit your request that it can accept requests of 3x your current limit up to $25K.  Other requests are possible, but can only be done through a representative -- thus no online luv botton or automated telephone response.

From what I found out, Amex Delta Gold is probably the easiest card to get. Minimum EX fico 680+.....I was approved for the Amex SPG with an EX Plus score of 720 - clean report and 5+yrs of AAoA. When my score jumped to 747 EX Plus, I apped for the BCP and was approved instantly with a generous CL...about 5 months after activation of my 1st Amex. In the end...you really don't know til you try IMHO and YMMV.

My SPG is due for a CLI this coming Feb and I am looking forward to it :smileyhappy:

BCP is due for a CLI in 61 days too! :smileyhappy:

[ Edited ]

Ok, ok, ok, I just got my Zync in Oct.  So, if I wait six months, (APR) I can apped for the Delta card and get approve?  Cool, but I don't fly Delta:smileytongue: (Southwest!!!) so, would the Gold Reserve be the card for me to app?  Or BCP? or Costco True Earning.....ok, I will stop for now...
