Hi,

I got my Amex Costco card in DEC 2008, I call them to backdate my membership from 2008 to 1996 and I already recevie my new card showing my member since from 1996 , the point is its 3 months from now and I just pull all  3 Ceadit bureau they still show my account open date is 2008. Do I need to call Amex to report to all 3 Credit bureau again ?

The open date of 12/1/2008 is correctly reported.  Otherwise, a longtime Costco member can manipulate his/her AAoA simply by applying for a Costco TrueEarnings credit card.

If you're successful in getting the date changed to 1996, let me know!

american express credit reporting (800) 874-2717

after you receive the new backdated card it will usually update with the cras automatically in a few weeks when they normally update.  if you call to expedite it you'll need the related american express acct number from your full EX report (not a 3 in1 report) to talk them.
