Got my Zinc 08/12
... so if i wait to get BCE say 1/13...will my accounts backdate to 1/12?? Is this how it works?? or does it backdate to 08/12?
I want to know how AMEX backdating work as well. Thanks for your post.
BUMP
Does anyone know how this works?
The answer is YES.
Your new card will report older than your old card.
If you apply in January 2013 and your member since date is 2012, then you wilkl get backdated to 01/2012, making the new card even older than your first amex.
Thanks I will defenitely wait till then.

it doesn't matter what year you apply in but the advantage is to apply in January since you get the full year of backdating.
so say you cancel your zync and don't apply for another amex until Jan 2062, the theory is that it will read member since jan 2012

Does the first account need to be closed for this to work?
