Amex CLI Question

Does anybody know if the 61 days is 61 days after your are approved or 61 days after your card is activated? I just hit 60 days since my card was activated and am itching to request my CLI.

Do you have access to your TU report after Amex began reporting? It's 61 days from what TU lists. 

Failing that, if you call them, they are usually happy to tell you the day you are eligible or at least what they register as your account open date.

I went for it and requested an increase from 9,000 to 25,000. They gave me a 2,500 increase for a total CL of 11,500. I accepted even though I was a little disappointed. Six more months and I will give it another shot.

You do have to make purchases on the card to warrant a CLI....
