Have had the Amex Delta Gold for 61-ish days so I called the number on the back of the card and entered into the automated system that I wanted a CLI to go from $1,900 to $5,500. I was then placed on hold for about 10 minutes and the guy who answered seemed completely confused as to why he was talking to me. Once he verified my information he again asked how much of a limit I was looking for and I said $5,500. He told me that my limit was already $5,500 and asked if I was seeking an additional $5,500? Once we sorted everything out he determined that I had already been approved and told me I must have an AMAZING credit history ( not even close) because he has never seen someone approved for such an increase after their first 2-months. He was literally gushing. Apparently he doesn't talk to very many people from this forum because I would never have even thought to ask for so much after 61-days if it weren't for the folks around here. So thanks everyone!!

I have used the card a lot. Both months my max balance was around $1,600. I made one mid-month payment of $500 and paid off the remaining balance in each of the months. When I requested the CLI my balance was about $25.

I actually waited until my recent payment cleared so it ended up being about 67 days from the day I applied (6/20). FWIW it took a couple of days for the initial approval to go through and I am not 100% certain what date I activated the card but I would guess it was about 6/28. The CLI was requested on 8/26 so I don't think the date of activation has anything to do with it.
