Amex CLI & new card, same day?

I think another poster touched on this question a week or so ago (maybe not exactly) but is this possible?  I don't recall anyone having an answer in the earlier thread and I've searched several times.

I'm trying to grab the 75k Surpass offer before it goes away, but I'm due for another CLI on my personal SPG.  Would doing the CLI first have an adverse impact on a potential CL on the new card?  Or vice versa?

That was the route I took last time with Amex, 3X first, felt the luv then immediately app't for the BCP and got a CL higher then the 3X.  Good luck!
