I tried to do a CLI because i thought my 61 days were up. I got the 7 - 10 days reply, so i hit up the chat lines. I was told that i was declined due to "credit score". My experian score is 720+, unless if it changed overnight. Anyone ever experienced something like that from Amex?
"Credit score" can be a difficult thing to understand with AmEx because in addition to a FICO score based on credit report they also use a propreitary scoring system. Which they don't discuss by the way.
Sorry OP, I go for my 3x CLI on Saturday. I'm not confident I'll get it since I have tons of EX inqs and new accounts. I notice AMEX softs my report once an inq hits.

Could be your internal AMEX score. What's your usage of the AMEX like?

+1.
you can call again and ask them for the score they used to evaluate your request. If the CSR mentioned a risk score, then that is Amex's internal scoring system.

Yes, AMEX uses their internal score system.
I called in and apparently the chat rep must have made up the "credit score" part. The lady i spoke with said it has to be reviewed by a dedicated team that does that kind of thing. She says she doesnt do it and lamented on my payment history. My Uti is 19%. I hope they approve it because i need some flexibility on that Costco card. My GF charges way too much on it and i have to pay for actually use after she runs the damn it up to 90% utilization.

Where did you get this score? Keep in mind that whatever score you get may differ from what AmEx gets due to differences in models.

They use both FICO and their own internal system. The two aren't mutually exclusive.
