I applied for an Amex CLI roughly 45 days ago from $4k to $5k and was instantly approved.
Today I wanted to go onto their website and just check if I could apply for another one as I regret not applying for a higher limit as I know I could of asked for more.
I know you can only usually apply every 6 months but I tried again today for $8k and it let me.
Got 'will recieve written reply within 7-10 days'.
Will it be an auto denial due to time since last CLI or do I stand a chance of still being approved?
Anyone had any experience with this in the past?
Also would it be worth just calling them instead to inquire?
If the denial reason was that you attempted again too soon, that will affect nothing. You can try again on a daily basis, until your either approved, or denied for reasons other than "too soon", as I did.

You'll be denied for having requested (and successfully obtaining) a CLI within the past six months. You'll have to request on the 181st day from the approval of your last CLI. And you may as go all the way and ask for $15K...they'll counter if they won't move you up all the way.
